Frequently Asked Questions
What to expect:
- You should aim to arrive at the track at approx 9am.
- You will need to sign on at registration. Please have your full driving licence and booking confirmation to hand.
- You will be given a wristband/sticker for your car to confirm you have completed registration.
- After registration you are required to attend the compulsory drivers briefing. Here you will be briefed on the ‘Do's and Don'ts', Track etiquette and general information on the day.
- Once the drivers briefing is over we will have a 15 min session for Novice Track day drivers. This session will be done at a slow pace with no overtaking and is an ideal opportunity to familiarise yourself with the track.
Open Pit lane
- Trackday.ie events are open pit lane. This means you can come and go from the track as you please. Track time is unlimited for the whole day.

- Am I insured on Track?
You will have to check your policy details but you are almost certainly not covered unless you have specific track day insurance.
- Will my car need to be modified for the track?
NO, your car will not need to be modified but it's essential your car is in good order. Before arriving at the track ensure your tyres and brakes have plenty of life left in them and check all the essential fluids.
- What do I need to bring?
You will need a helmet, driving licence, booking confirmation and most importantly your car! It may be worth while bringing a jerry can of petrol if your car is thirsty!
- I'm a beginner, Can I have some tuition?
Yes! Don't worry If you are a complete beginner; we are happy to sit in with you and show you the ropes free of charge.
- Will I be in other people's way?
NO! Don't worry if you are new to track days or your car if is slower than others. Track days are open to all drivers and all cars. Follow the guidelines on overtaking and you will be fine. Just go out and enjoy!
